San Leone Society of Cleveland

The Society

The Società di M.S. San Leone was chartered in 1920 in Cleveland Ohio. Members of the Society consist of natives by birth from Longi, Sicily, as well as their spouses, children and descendants. Since 1920, Society members continue to keep their Sicilian customs, values and traditions alive.

We are named after our patron saint; San Leone the Great.  We honor him with two special masses every year, which correspond with celebrations in Longi.

Today we are over 200 members strong, and we still pray for San Leone's continued protection and guidance, which he graciously grants not only to our ancestors, but to each member of the Society.  We are proud of our heritage and look forward to connecting and sharing experiences with other Longitani!
